Environmental concerns and soaring energy prices have brought huge pressure of saving emission reduction to tissue paper mills. Electricity is one the main sources The production characteristics mills make it easy decrease cost by using time-of-use (TOU) electricity tariffs. This study investigates bi-objective energy-efficiency scheduling under tariffs, objectives which are makespan cost. First, considering processing cost, setup transportation an model a mill TOU tariffs established. Second, built based on model. Finally, basis decomposition teaching–learning optimization, this proposes novel multi-objective evolutionary algorithm further combined with variable neighborhood search solve problem. case results demonstrate that our feasible, proposed method has better performance than existing methods.
